A Pay-What-You-Can Cafe open 11am-2pm M-F at the corner of 31st and Troost downtown KC with volunteer positions from greeting to serving and dishwashing available. Fill in a ‘Volunteer Form’ on the website, schedule an orientation (morning time/volunteers must), shifts are around 2 hours long.

“Since 1979 we have built, renovated or repaired more than 700 homes in Wyandotte, Leavenworth and Johnson counties in Kansas, and Clay, Platte and Jackson counties in Missouri.” Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore location sells donated appliances, furniture, and building supplies for affordable prices. ReStore will pick up your donations for free. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.
